A Decentralised Weather and Energy Market

This project focuses on developing a decentralized blockchain-based platform for trading weather and energy derivatives. Given the current challenges in the weather derivatives market, such as low liquidity, pricing complexities, and regulatory constraints, the proposed platform aims to enhance transparency, accessibility, and efficiency. By utilizing smart contracts, the system will enable automated and secure trading of derivatives linked to weather variables (e.g., HDDs and CDDs) and distributed energy systems. Additionally, the project seeks to establish a robust pricing framework for these contracts, fostering a more efficient and scalable market for weather and energy risk management.
